The new big fans deviate from traditional HVLS big fans by featuring a
five-bladed design with WhalePower's
new Tubercle Technology™. Tubercle Technology is more than just another blade design: it is a fundamental advancement in fluid dynamics which truly revolutionises the Altra-Air HVLS ceiling fans.
Unlike small fans that cool only when you're directly in front of them, Altra-Air HVLS fans blanket a very large area with constantly moving air to create an expansive comfort zone.
As a result, an evaporative cooling effect of six to eight degrees Celsius occurs throughout the facility.
Hot air rises and during the heating season, the Altra-Air HVLS fan technology can de-stratify uneven temperatures that can be in excess of fifteen degrees Celsius from ceiling to floor. This results in significant cost savings since the heating system cycles less frequently. Hot and cold spots are also eliminated.
